Election of Board Members

Membership of the Board is comprised of a maximum of nine members of NETS WA (trading as ART ON THE MOVE). Board members are appointed for a term of two years. The full term of a member is restricted to a maximum of six consecutive years.

New Nominations

Samara King
Samara King – originally from Broome, Samara graduated from University of Western Australia in 2019, where she received a Bachelor of Philosophy with First Class Honours in Anthropology and Sociology, and Indigenous Knowledge, History and Heritage. During her studies, Samara worked at the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries as an Aboriginal Support Officer. Samara also participated in the Aurora Foundation International Study Tour in 2017, visiting leading universities in the US and UK.

Gemma Ben-Ary
Gemma Ben-Ary – is currently on the GalleriesWest board. Gemma is an independent visual artist, writer and curator and the Executive Director of Ellenbrook Arts. Gemma’s interests are primarily in contemporary Western Australian visual art, feminist theory, and contemporary craft. Gemma holds a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art and Writing from Edith Cowan University, and has worked as a writer, curator and arts administrator since graduating from Central TAFE in 2009 with an Advanced Diploma of Art and Craft, where she majored in sculpture.

Ashley Yihsin Chang
Ashley Yihsin Chang – has over twenty years work experience as an art curator, arts manager and coordinator in museums, government and diplomatic institutions, community arts centres, and art consultant agencies in Taiwan and Perth, Western Australia.
