20 artists from Western Australia were invited to respond to the theme of folding. For some artists in the exhibition, the theme was already present in their work, for others it provided the opportunity to extend their practice in a different direction. Each artist was also asked to make their work fit, in its folded state, inside a box measuring 20 x 20 x 20cms. Some works retained their intimate scale for display, others literally poured out of their containers.
