Finance Officer
Part-time | 3 days (22.8 hours) per week
Award: Social and Community Services (WA) Interim Award 2011
Classification: Level 4.1, $40.47 per hour plus superannuation
ART ON THE MOVE is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to ensure the accurate, timely and compliant financial management of the organisation.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Finance Officer is responsible for transactional bookkeeping, payroll, reconciliations, reporting and statutory compliance, supporting effective decision-making, funding obligations, and audit readiness.
While primarily finance-focused, the position may also provide occasional administrative support as required.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Applicants are asked to address the core competencies below with demonstrated experience and practical examples (maximum two pages):
Core Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Solid understanding of transactional bookkeeping and payroll processes
- Confidence in identifying, interpreting, and resolving financial discrepancies
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and work independently
- Clear and professional communication skills, particularly when liaising with external accountants or regulatory bodies
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping or finance roles
- Experience using accounting software (Xero and Dext highly desirable)
- The right to work in Australia, with evidence provided upon request
Desirable:
- Certificate IV in Accounting or higher
- Minimum three years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector and/or with grant-funded organisations
- Familiarity with audit processes and end-of-year financial preparation
