FREE WORKSHOP: Idea To Audience
for artists and curators

Join The Alternative Archive curator, Anna Louise Richardson, in this workshop where you will learn how to take your idea to an audience.
This workshop will discuss, with an experienced facilitator, how exhibitions come together. This session will cover ways of expressing ideas, applying for venues, funding sources, actioning existing resources and networks towards a goal, seeking partnerships with organisations, different models for exhibitions and ways to find your voice and niche. Anna will draw on her experience of different exhibition models over the last 10 years with examples, anecdotes and useful resources.
Note: This workshop has a practical component. Please come with an idea you have been working towards, we will discuss projects in groups and workshop next steps towards actioning your goals.

About Anna Louise Richardson
Anna Louise Richardson is an artist and freelance curator investigating rural Australian identity and associated mythologies. Her artistic practice reveals ideas of intergenerational exchange, parenthood and signifiers of identity based on her experiences of life in rural Australia living and working on a multi-generation beef cattle farm.
