An exhibition of 40 paintings by Western Australian artist, George Duerden ( 1926-1986) who is remembered as a gifted painter and gentle spirit. Duerden left a body of work resonant with honesty and integrity. Selected works depicted scenes from his early childhood and everyday life, and portraits of friends and colleagues. A painter of people and their relationships with one another, his distinctive work has the ability to provoke serious thought and delight new audiences just as it did when first exhibited in the early I 970's.
