Five women artists collaborated in a multi-media installation which referenced ancestral connections between women and the icon of the quilt. Quilts have been taken out of the domestic sphere and placed on gallery walls negating the original and tactile qualities. This installation combined the "static" qualities of the traditional quilt with the aesthetics of the 'gallery' quilt. It was about communication and interaction, with physical pathways to encourage the audiences' movement through the 'quilt'.
