SEASONS OF CHANGE

Merredin Railway Museum
April 13 — May 5
Wed — Sun, 11am — 2pm

A community collaborative exhibition sharing stories of the Wheatbelt made by locals.

Proudly supported by ART ON THE MOVE, and delivered by Meridian Regional Arts, Seasons of Change is a portraiture project that captures the stories, wisdom, and humour of the seniors of the Wheatbelt.

This project started with a series of workshops with Andy Quilty, Desiree Crossing and Martine Perret, who are all award-winning artists from across WA, with over 170 people throughout the Central Wheatbelt learning drawing, painting and photography skills.

Part art exhibition, part living library, part museum exhibit: this ambitious work intends to have an exhibition created about people of the Wheatbelt created and designed by people of the Wheatbelt, with paintings, drawings, photographs, and objects representing the stories you hear placed on display at the Merredin Railway Museum for a month-long immersive exhibit.

This project has been made possible through the Regional Exhibition Touring Boost managed by the Department of Local Government Sport and Cultural Industries, supported by Royalties for Regions and delivered by ART ON THE MOVE.
