Techné was a survey of new media/digital arts practice in Australia (with a few international exceptions). It was thematically concerned with the alienation of technology. The exhibition featured screen based installations, which encouraged audiences to immerse themselves into a synthesised environment and experience the best of this new wave of arts practice of it's time.
