The Alternative Archive touring exhibition presents a contemporary visual archive of regional Western Australian arts practice, documenting a dynamic anthology of how regional artists relate to the people, homes, towns or regions that they know so well.

About Annette Davis

Annette Davis is an independent curator and artist who lives in Albany where she has had a long involvement with MIX Artists Inc, a group of contemporary artists from the Great Southern. Over a thirty year career during which she has lived in Perth, Kununurra and Karratha, Annette has curated and coordinated many exhibitions and visual arts projects, including art prizes and exhibitions of contemporary and historical art.

About Louise Tasker

Louise Tasker is an artist who works predominately in jewellery and sculpture. Her jewellery works Water Rights Series – Nelson Location (2019) and Water Rights Series – Water Markers (2019) are currently on display as part of The Alternative Archive. Read Louise’s artist profile.
