APPLICATIONS CLOSED

This program is open to individual artists, groups, and organisations with exhibitions that are presentation ready i.e. will tour after they have been presented in a gallery or museum setting. Selected exhibitions receive full tour management, artist fees and professional support with touring to commence in 2027.

Applications close Friday 20 February, 4pm (AWST).

Who can apply?

Expressions of interest will be considered from WA based:

  • Artist groups & collectives
  • Individual artists
  • Independent curators
  • Regional and metropolitan public and private art galleries, craft councils, contemporary art spaces
  • Aboriginal corporations, art centres, and other legally constituted professional arts and artists organisations
Accessibility

We encourage applications from those who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse, d/Deaf, people with disability, and LGBTQIA+.

Applications in flexible formats or languages will be accommodated wherever possible, providing all required applicant information and support material is supplied.

How many times can I apply?

You can only submit one application per round to the Presentation Ready Touring EOIs.

Eligible applicants may also submit an application to the SHIFT touring development initiative.

Exhibition eligibility

ART ON THE MOVE will consider proposals for exhibitions that:

  • Have been previously presented at a gallery or museum within 12 months of the EOI closing date and/or
  • Will open to the public within 3 months of the EOI closing date

Support material

Within the completed application form, you will be required to upload support material. Each of the below categories allow for up to 10 files to be uploaded. Please note a size restriction of 5MB per file.

Artist/s bio
Career highlights and basic bio information for artist/s, curator and other practitioners involved in the exhibition, max one paragraph per person.

Images
Upload a maximum of 10 images that support your application. Documentation of exhibition installation and a selection of individual works is strongly encouraged.

Basic interpretation materials (if available)
Upload copies of the exhibition didactic/s and/or exhibition label/s.

Exhibition collateral
Upload reduced-sized versions any existing catalogues, invitations, room sheets or other material that has been produced for your exhibition.

Written material
Peer and/or public response, essays, media articles, reviews or publicity (include source, date and publication details).

Making changes to your application

When you submit the form, you will receive a PDF copy of your written responses via email.

Changes may be requested via email to exhibitions@artonthemove.art. Changes requested after the application closing date and time will not be accepted..
